Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) is better known under her real moniker Ari Lennox is an American musician and singer who hails from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be associated with J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. In the month of October, Ari Lennox released her Pho EP. The EP was where she gained recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album, debuted on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music onto the internet in 2012 as she dropped her first mixtape Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography in 2013. In 2014 she continued to share her music over the web, including her own launched single Bound. The 21st day of July, 2015. Omen included her in Elephant Eyes' track"Sweat It Out. The following year, her music circulated throughout the Dreamville team as J. Cole wanted her to work with him on some potential references to Rihanna. In December 2008, it was revealed that Rihanna was signed with Dreamville Records. Backseat is one of the songs was written by her and Cozz on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II. The singer released Pho, her debut EP on October 21 in 2016. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as being an opener on The 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017, in which she accompanied by EarthGang. In 2018, Ari Lennox guested on two tracks by EarthGang On Nothing but the Best, and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox dropped her first single Whipped Cream on Shea Butter Baby on July 16th. A music video followed followed by a video in September. In November, she dropped two singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. The 13th of November, she came out with two additional singles, The No One as well as Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released as her first single on February 26, 2019, for her album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby was featured alongside Cole in her Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. The song, made available with a video on YouTube February 20, 2019 was watched more than 3 million times within the first seven days. As a supporting act, she toured together with 6LACK in December of 2018 for The From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
