Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of Detective Diane Russell. Her roles comprise All My Children Philly CSI: Miami & Army Wives. Delaney was the sole daughter of an United Auto Workers executive and his wife who was a housewife. Her upbringing was within a household that included four brothers. The idea of being a reporter for the court in childhood but started modelling while at high school, eventually earning commercials when she moved into New York. Her first role acting was as an innocent teenager in the 1981 soap opera All My Children. Delaney appeared in a number of television shows, films as well as dramas in the years since. Similar to her profession, her personal life hasn't been a success or happy one. The talented actress was afflicted with addiction issues in the past and had two failed marriages. She was divorced in 2005 and lost custody of the only child she was born with.
